CM700 been working great ever since Comcast got their crap together (for the moment) Update: This modem has actually become stable for the past several months. Either Comcast really fixed the internet issues in my area and/or updated the firmware for this modem since my initial problems. Now this modem is stable and rarely causing issues. For the price I don’t have any complaints…as long as this thing stays stable for the foreseeable future. Fingers crossed.When I purchased this in April to replace an Old Arris model cable modem (that was having similar reboot issues) I LOVED it. Was fast and really took advantage of my Internet plans speed from Comcast. Fast forward 4 months later, and now sometimes I need to reboot this thing 4+ times a day. Been really frustrating. Of course I’m outside of the free technical support window, and also my return window from Amazon. At this point I don’t know if this a ploy from Comcast to force you into paying their exorbitant prices to rent a modem/router (because this is my second purchased modem having these issues 2…

Netgear CM700 = great cable modem I’ve read many reviews about the Netgear CM700 and the potential issues with the Intel Puma 6 chipset. Many online reviews of this cable modem indicate that there are issues with drop outs and jitter.
