Who knew … quadrulple your bandwitch by just adding more channels! I supposedly had a 400 mbps service, which I couldn’t downgrade with it getting MORE expensive, due to data caps. However, I never experienced more than 50 Mbps, due to old, and very-difficult-to-replace wiring between the drop and the modem. My original modem, specified by my cable company, was a DOCSIS 3.0 8-channel device. As soon as my other cable company, at my other home, mandated that I upgrade my 3.0 8-ch device to a 3.1 32-ch, I realized that I could get FOUR TIMES THE BANDWIDTH on my other system, at my other home, within the same signal-to-noise envelope, by simply increasing the number of channels from 8 to 32, within the same DOCSIS standard. (The reason for this has to do with quadrature-based signal modulation.)So … I bought this, spent 20 minutes getting it installed (getting to the physical location, within a rats nest of power cords, is what takes the longest amount of time), and voila! 250 Mbps!!
Saving $ with Xfinity – Working great! Xfinity helped setup what they needed on their and I setup the wifi on my network. Since it was refurbished had a little issue getting it registered for warranty which is for 1 year from date of purchase. The first year we will save $77.88 and next year will save $168. It’s working great!
Hreat price for very decent quality Great modem and router combo for the price. On long run helps you save money on device rent. Works perfectly with comcast.
