… up my own CAT 5 cable and they worked fine, however I normally make up my own CAT 5 cable and they worked fine, however, for cable longer than 10-ft I have not been able to consistently get 1 GB level of transmission rate. Comcast has recently ungraded our service to 150 MB download speed for “free” so I was not happy when I could only get up bout 96 MB download rate. After several replacement of my CAT 5 cables, I realized that anything ;longer than about 10 feet I could not make my own patch cable to achieve more than 100 MB download speed. So I bought this 25-ft CAT 6 cable and I am happy that I am now capable to receive 1 GB download speed. This cable has a high quality feel to it, it is soft, thin, flat and the RJ45 Cat 6 terminals seem and feel of well made component. As soon as plug this cable into my Ethernet port on my computer my router immediately telling me that I now have a 1 GB connection, I’m getting over 175 MB download speed, which is more than 150 MB that Comcast promised me. Of course you have to have…

Tested to Gigabit speeds. Works well. I purchased this to run CAT6 from my router to a switch, since I have Gigabit FIOS and the incoming line from the optical terminal to the router is CAT6. After installing it, I ran many tests and I’m getting the same speeds as an expensive CAT5e cable I was using previously. My speed is limited (probably by my hardware) to around 975Mbps up and down with either cable. This inexpensive cable is great and the flat profile can be useful for special applications. It is very thin so it may not be suitable for some situations where durability against wear and tear are a consideration. Get an outdoor armored cable for that.

This isn’t your daddy’s ethernet cable My desktop computer is about 6 meters from the router. Although I get a perfectly fine WiFi signal, for some applications a wired ethernet is necessary. So I looked through Amazon, and this one came up. And it’s perfect. The wire is quite thin and white, allowing it to blend in along the baseboards. And this company thoughtfully included nice tacks to hold the wiring in place. The wiring is in a plastic resealable bag inside of a nice box. It looks and feels high quality and high priced. The plugs seem nicely made and should last a long time.So far, it’s working perfectly. It was easy to run the wiring along the baseboards. It was an easy 5-minute job. This is a 5-star product.
