Keep looking Device worked perfectly until it ran out of the factory 90 day warranty, The device still works great for hard wired connection but the wifi no longer works. I’ve read a few more reviews today about the same thing happening, i don’t know if it was a bad batch or the product itself is bad but i have 300mbs internet and i get 250+ when i’m wired but on wifi it will do a max of 5 mbs and that is rare. As i am writing this i can’t even get the wifi to connect long enough to do a speed test to show a picture. I am sitting about 10 feet away from the modem as well.Save your money and find something else. or be sure to buy the extended warranty

Bottom line – NETGEAR for me was a crappy product with ever worse customer service Product is much much slower than advertised. WiFi 67.3 on a 150 system (wired connection 167.3) Checked with my cable company. I was sent to NETGEAR. Instead of trying to fix the issue they were trying to sell me a service plan that cost almost as much as the product itself. When I declined that, they were hard selling a one time fix for $49.95 guaranteed. I declined that as well and ordered a new one online.Bottom line – NETGEAR for me was a crappy product with ever worse customer service!

I don’t know if I have a crappy product or if there’s some sort of setting that … I got rid of my Netgear Nighthawk ac1750 and replaced it with this one that doubled as a router and a modem. With my old router I was averaging between about 80 and 150 megabits download speed. With this new router I’m averaging Less Than 3 megabits download speed. I tried checking for a firmware update but for the life of me I can’t find it anywhere in the Netgear Genie app or in the Netgear settings through the browser. I don’t know if I have a crappy product or if there’s some sort of setting that I need to change it to be able to boost my download speeds all I know is that I feel like I wasted $200 on what I thought would be a better router slash modem. If I can’t fix this problem in the very near future I will be returning this product and going with a different brand, one that hopefully has better than 3 megabytes download speed.
