Worked great as a compatible Comcast Voice Modem after Returning rented Comcast Modem I purchased a previous modem on Comcast’s compatible voice modem’s list that I had to return because it didn’t work with Comcast. We only needed the modem for a landline with Comcast service, not their internet. We installed it with help from a Comcast technician over the phone and then we had to wait 24 hours before it was activated. I checked the next day and we got a dial tone and could make and receive calls fine. So we are very pleased with this modem and now avoid the rental charges from Comcast. So the first year of use we will save about $40, but each year after $156.
Refurb price, 1st run quality Scenario- New xFinity service after having FiOS for nearly 12 years- Didn’t want the voice line, but had to take the Voice modem to get Triple-play bundle discountPros- Refurb price saved me almost $50- Unit was in perfect condition upon receipt- Easy hookup, quick sync-up with xFinity serviceCons- Download bandwidth limited to no more than 300mbs. Not DOCSIS 3.1.- Upload bandwidth limited, but that’s not a problem with the low-end packages.Summary- If you need a voice modem (required for any triple play bundles) and DON’T need high speeds (anything under 300mbps) then this modem will work for you.
Cm500v cable voice modem Set up took less than half an hour. Download speed are fine. Telephone function is working well.Modem does not come with any type of technical specification book I know it has a battery but I don’t know how to get to it or if it’s even working.
