The WORST Do not buy Do you self a favor and spend the extra money on a better unit. Ridiculous the number of times I’ve had to reset and or unplug this unit. 5 times tonight alone. 100s in total and Ive only had it for 2 and a half months. Technical support is not helpful…all they do is tell to do is unplug and reset. Things I already do myself. The English comprehension with some of the CS reps is not great and they don’t seem to know there units…despite providing the model numbers. They clearly just read from a script. Whats worse is im out the 100$ and amazon return policy is only 30 days. At first they kept blaming the cable company and me being distrustful of cable companies I believed it. One day I hardwired in to the router through a LAN line and TADA!!! I was getting Internet meaning the issue is with the unit itself. Not having Wi-Fi sucks normally and is an even bigger suck when you are a cord cutter. Excuse me while i cut this short to reset my unit for now the 6th time tonight. Thank…

Awful customer support, will avoid TP Link in the future. I purchased this router given the bulk of positive reviews as well as the fact that I have had other TP-Link products that I like. Unfortunately, I spent an inordinate amount of time troubleshooting connectivity issues. I assumed that the issues were from my cable provider, and ended up having them come out to troubleshoot as well. In that time, the 1 month return timing for this modem expired, and I had to work my way through the worst customer support I’ve experienced in a long time. I repeatedly had to go through the same steps over and over, until I had to finally ask to speak to a supervisor, who still made it extremely difficult to offer a replacement. I am now waiting for an email to offer me a replacement, but will not purchase another TP-Link product because of this hassle. If you get a product that works, good for you. If you have to deal with their customer support… good luck.

Updated: It Just Works? Not sure about all the tech talk and whining in other reviews about this gigabit and that megawhatever, but this router has worked flawlessly in our home.We realized a month ago that we were actualizing ~18 MBS download speeds on an internet package rated at 100 MBS DL/20 MBS UL. Couple of speed tests on WiFi and then at the router LAN port identified the issue as our existing modem router and Spectrum advised it was because we were using a single-band unit for a package that provided dual-band service, so required a compatible modem & router setup. They sent me a list of “tested & compatible” modems, routers and modem/router combo units, I did a bunch of reading and chose this TP Link one from the list.Shipped fast (of course), was super easy to set up and has been working great since, providing blistering internet speeds to the Apple TV, Smart TV, four iPads, three iPhones, gaming consoles, work computer, MacBook, ADT Pulse security system, four…
