Not good if you want to customize settings I had several issues that were show stoppers for me:1) No obvious way to assign static IPs to some of the device. This becomes a problem with network printers as they get assigned new addresses every few days and I have to go and edit their properties on each computer I want to print from.2) No obvious way to upgrade/upload firmware. Most manufacturers have an update for KRACK by now. This model has no way to download firmware from the TP-Link site and no “Update” button anywhere on the modem’s admin site.3) No way to customize firewall. You have 4 choices: Disabled, Low, Medium and High, each with a preset list of apps and ports. Vonage is not on the list, so the moment I enable the firewall even at the lowest setting the phone stops working. There is an option to put one IP into DMZ, but then I am back to #1 – the day the IPs are renewed the Vonage device is no longer on that IP…I am honestly surprised at the number of positive reviews. Do…

A well-built modem-router combo at a competitive price Our internet provider upgraded the internet to high speed services earlier this year, so I had to replace my old modem and router to enjoy the new internet speeds. To save money by not buying separate modem and router units, I decided to find a combo modem-router. After researching for days, and bearing in mind about the suggestions that separate units of modem and router might perform better in some case, I decided to try this TP-link modem-router because of some very good reviews and a good price. Just like most home users that use internet for common daily uses (without complicated configuration for special networking needs), I have been using it for half year now, without any issue. It is basically plug-and-play, the only step that I needed to do apart from putting together the unit and the cables was to call the internet services provider and provide them with the MAC so that they could activate the new modem. It works pretty well, our internet runs at expected if not better…
