Cannot be used to transfer data between 2 USB Ports I bought this naively thinking I could transfer data from one computer to another using this. You cannot.I am typically fairly tech savvy, but some of the wording on the product (and a direct link from another website) led me to believe this would be possible. Not blaming the product because a very careful re-reading of the item made me realize my error.Bottom line, you CANNOT use this to simply plug into one computer’s USB port and transfer data to another computer’s USB port. You need a special kind of data transfer cord for that, which looks like it has a giant lump in the middle of it. That lump is a mini piece of hardware which does the hard work for you.Instead, I’m just going the slow route and transferring everything to my external hard drive, and then from the external hard drive to my new computer. Slightly more annoying, but free if you already have the external hard drive.

A happily ever after purchase Let’s face it, they’re USB cables, I mean, what can you really review? They work or they don’t, right? So, here’s a little story…I have a nice Epson printer that connects wirelessly to my computer. It’s only about 3 feet from the desktop, but always functioned just fine in the past. Recently, I’ve been experiencing some squirrelly wireless inside the house and kept getting printer errors on a long (90 pages) document I was trying to print. Massively annoying. So, I decided to just direct connect it via the USB port. And they all lived happily ever after. The end!All kidding aside, the cables are perfect length (6 ft.), fit snugly, work perfectly and are at a comfortable price. I highly recommend them for whatever your USB needs may be.
